GROUND-WATER LEVEL DATA
Approximately 30 wells are currently being monitored for this project. Follow the instructions below to view or download the data:
1. Begin by clicking on the MAP link to view a map of sites.
2. Then, by clicking on a site label, you can view a page that displays water level data for that site.
Alternately, there is a TABLE of sites you can use to link to pages for each site.
There are two basic site types: Periodic measurement sites and Continuous Recorder sites.
Periodic Measurement Sites (open symbols on map): Water levels in these wells are measured manually by a technician every 2-3 months. When you click on the label for these sites, you will see the entire period of record for the site. You may change the start and end dates to view a specific period in more detail.
Continuous Recorder Sites (closed symbols on map): Several wells are equipped with data loggers that record water levels every 2 hours. The default data view shows the mean daily water levels for the period that the recorder has been in operation. Periodic measurements are also available for these sites and often span a much longer time period. To view the periodic measurements, pull down the "Available data for this site" menu and select "Field groundwater-level measurements". At this time, the 2-hour data are only displayed for the last 31 days prior to the current day. Data for the sites are only updated every 60 days, so there will be periods when some or all of the 2-hour data will not be available over the Internet. If you would like to obtain the 2-hour data for any of the wells on this site, please contact our Hydrologic Information Section.
